COVID-19 Status December 18, 2021

Good afternoon,

I am writing this update to keep you informed on our center’s COVID status.  In the past 24 hours we have detected one case of COVID-19 in our center among a staff member.  All residents have been tested and staff testing is complete. We will continue testing the staff and residents every 5-7 days as directed by the Department of Public Health. Based on DPH guidelines, we continue to allow indoor visitation, but do require masks from our visitors as well as COVID screening.

We continue to advocate for all residents and staff who have received their COVID vaccinations to receive a booster vaccine. We will offer another clinic soon. Health experts are now expressing concerns over “waning immunity” from the first round of the COVID vaccine.
